We are proud to dedicate our weekly pub quiz towards a great cause - Willen Hospice! A family member of one of our own has the monumental opportunity to run the London Marathon to benefit Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes. A little bit from Sarah about her story:
"I have been given the privileged position of running the London marathon 2025 for Willen hospice, in memory of my husband Alan. Willen hospice is a place we all hope we never have to access but sometimes life has a different plan. This became my families reality last year when we had the devastating news my amazing husband and Daddy to my 2 girls (aged 7 and 10) was diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer and given weeks to live, just aged 41.
The care at Willen hospice supported our whole family and I truly believe gave Alan more time, in a place he felt his symptoms were managed and an environment he felt more relaxed. Alan was given the option to come home with the 'Willen at home team', which was something we never thought was possible and we were so thankful to have our family home together again. I will never be able to express in words how thankful we were to the amazing staff. The kindness, care, laughs and tears will be forever treasured."
The £2 per person entry will go straight to the charity. Bring some extra coins because there will be many fantastic raffle prizes throughout the quiz!
